Scott began training in October 2010 and set up a small stable at the Sydney Metropolitan track, Warwick Farm. With the expansion of the business Scott recently opened Shannonbrook Lodge to manage the stables continued growth.

It was the natural step for this young trainer, having learnt his craft managing large city stables for the likes of John O'Shea, Gai Waterhouse, Bart Cummings and Graeme Rogerson at Randwick over a 7 year period.

In a relatively short career,Scott and his team have achieved some impressive results, most notably winning the 2014 J B CARR Group 3 with the talented Snitzel filly, Estonian Princess at the Sydney Autumn Carnival Championships. Estonian Princess has amassed $370,575 in career earnings from just 18 starts for her owners and is now considered a valuable broodmare proposition.

Other black type success includes Group 3 Angst Stakes (2nd) Estonian Princess (3YO), Group 3 Skyline (3rd) Flight Of Pegasus (2YO), Group 3 Baillieu (4th) Flight Of Pegasus (2YO) and Group 1 Golden Rose (5th) Flight Of Pegasus (3YO). Scott also prepared Estonian Princess to run 2nd in the $1 million Magic Million's 3YO Guineas.

Scott is renowned for his strong work ethic and is highly focussed on seeing each thoroughbred in his care achieve their full potential. Scott's attention to detail ensures that the stable presents horses in peak condition, and the horses are placed in races in which they can race competitively.

"I have a very hands on approach and believe that a horse will produce their best when they are fit, healthy and happy. Our team provide the highest level of care for the horses in the stable. As you would imagine, we get to know the horses extremely well over a number of preparations. Like people, horses are individuals and it is just a matter of working out what works for them and finding the key to their best performance".
