16/06/16 - Lady Chicago excited her ownership group yesterday at Warwick Farm in making her racing debut. The excitement had been building for the stable and the owners, in having this cracking daughter of Sebring grace the track.
Lady Chicago was presented to the races in stunning order by Scott Aspery and his team of Shannonbrook Lodge
In a hotly contested 2yo Maiden, Lady Chicago performed admirably after missing the start by 3 lengths to narrowly miss a placing beaten 1.6 lengths into 3rd.
Jockey Kathy O'Hara commented that it was a really good run, great first up effort and she finished off really well.
It is widely regarded the race will prove to be one providing solid form, so for our girl on her first outing to perform to the level she did finishing a credible 7th in a field of twelve was good effort.
Scott is keen to test Lady Chicago on top of the ground and will sound out suitable options over the next two weeks for her next assignment.
No doubt more exciting times ahead for the ownership group.
